The Best Decisions I Made in 2025 ✨

Hey sis,

I got an email recently that really stuck with me. It was all about someone’s best decisions of 2025 — not achievements or big wins, but the actual choices that changed how they lived, felt, and showed up.

It inspired me to look back at my own year and think about what really mattered. Here are three of my best decisions from 2025 — and I hope they spark something for you too 🫶🏾

1. Taking a Break- (for real this time)

Ten years ago, someone told me, “Don’t rush into your first job — you’ll never get another break like this.” I didn’t listen. I worked straight through for a decade.

This year, I finally took my first real break — two whole months. I thought I’d restructure my business, organize the house, and do all the things.

But honestly? I just rested. I slept more than I knew I needed, went on long walks with Hugo, reconnected with friends, and just was.

And it taught me something: you can’t pour from an empty cup — not in work, not in purpose, not even in joy. I’m not behind. I’m right on time.

2. Treating My Health Like My Job

I decided to start taking my health as seriously as I take my work. I began the year overweight and in pain, but I committed to something I actually enjoy: Pilates (yes, I’m obsessed now 😭).

What surprised me most was how seen I felt. I used to think you had to have a certain body or look a certain way to belong in that space. But I learned that wellness isn’t about perfection — it’s about connection, breath, and consistency.

Now I’m even getting certified to teach, because I want more women — especially Black women and curvy women — to see themselves reflected in wellness spaces. We all deserve that.

3. Asking for What I Want

This one felt small but turned out to be huge. I started asking for what I wanted — even when I assumed the answer would be no.

One of those asks? Becoming a FIGS ambassador. I didn’t have the biggest platform, but I led with purpose and authenticity… and they said yes.

That one moment reminded me not to count myself out. Sometimes the only thing standing between you and your “yes” is the courage to ask.

🔥 Now it’s your turn

Sis, I want you to take a second before the year ends and reflect on your best decisions of 2025.

Not just what you achieved — but what you chose.

✨ What shifted how you live?

✨ How did is stretch you?

✨ What do you want to carry into 2026?

Reply and tell me your top 2–3 if you feel inclined to share — I’d truly love to read them.

I’ll be sharing one more decision soon — one that could shift how you show up in 2026.

Let’s just say it’s a new kind of mission… if you choose to accept it 🔥

Stay tuned, sis. The best is absolutely still unfolding.

With love,

Nikia
