Sis, I was listening to a book the other day and this line stopped me in my tracks: “The number one thing wealthy people attribute their success to is tenacity. Nobody achieves great success without walking through the fire.” Whew. That hit. Because if I’m honest, the past nine months have felt like one long walk through the fire — in my business, in my personal life, in all of it. So much so that I almost didn’t host my annual physician wellness retreat this year. I told myself I didn’t feel it. That maybe it wasn’t helping anyone. That maybe it was time to let it go. I will push through no matter what when it comes to the things that don’t bring me peace or joy. But somehow, I let my energy or my mood dictate how I show up for the things that do bring me joy and peace. That realization humbled me. And shifted me. The moment I decided that the retreat was happening, it was like someone lit a fire in me (the good kind this time). Energy, joy, and excitement came rushing back, and I remembered exactly why I started. So now I’m asking you… Where are you pushing through for things that drain you — regardless of your energy, regardless of your mood — but holding back on the things that actually light you up because you just “don’t feel like it”? Sis… are you doing this backwards too? If so, you’re not alone. I see you. I’ve been you. And I want you to know — it doesn’t have to stay that way. Take a minute to sit with this: what would your days look like if you flipped the script? If you released the things that don’t pour into you and show up, no matter what, for the things that bring you peace and joy? That’s what I’m reflecting on this week, and I’d love for you to reflect with me. Hit reply and share what comes up for you, or if you’re ready to talk through it, let’s chat!!
