Before the holidays sweep you away… read this.

Hey Sis,

Can you believe it’s already October? The first real Tuesday of fall feels like a sign slow down.

I’ve always loved this season. Maybe it’s because I got married in October (anniversary coming up on 10/10 🥂). Maybe it’s because this season of change is so powerful — and so often overlooked.

The trees don’t fight to keep their leaves; they let go so they can rest, reset, and come back stronger. Witnessing the process always brings me back to myself… a reminder that release is necessary before renewal.

And honestly? I’m taking notes.

We’re three months out from my birthday (40 on the horizon), and instead of rushing to “finish the year strong,” I’m choosing to finish it softly. With gratitude, grounding, and rejuvenation as my priorities.

I know how easy it is to get swept up in the noise this time of year — the deadlines, the holiday prep, the gift lists, the pressure to do more, be more, give more. But the truth is, these months were never meant to drain us. They were meant to recharge us. To remind us that time off is required. Family moments are the real luxury. And rest is the most underrated act of gratitude there is.

So this month, I’m reminding both of us:

Let your leaves fall.

Let yourself breathe.

And don’t confuse stillness with stagnation — sometimes it’s just preparation.

If you want direction or support in slowing down — in letting yourself restore, recharge, and reset — join us inside the Rested Reset, where we’re closing the year rested, not run down. It’s our little corner for reflection, real rest, and accountability to stay soft when the world says “push harder.”

Here’s to a cozy October, full of gratitude and grace. 🍁

With love and warmth,

Nikia
