Hey sis 👋🏾 And whenever things feel overwhelming, I notice I go into “organize everything” mode—emails, photos, old videos. It’s like putting things in order outside of me helps calm what’s going on inside of me. While I was doing that, I listened back to a podcast episode I recorded about imposter syndrome… and something really landed. We talk about imposter syndrome like it’s just a work thing. It shows up in your relationships. And during chaotic seasons… that voice gets louder. That’s why I’m big on what I call a folder of receipts. Proof. Proof that you’re showing up. Proof that you’re making an impact. Because self-trust isn’t the default. And every time you challenge your self-doubt with evidence—real moments, real feedback, real impact—you strengthen it. You don’t build self-trust by thinking differently. And sadly … The inner critic doesn’t just disappear. Your brain is wired for survival—not expansion. So that voice? The work is learning how not to let it lead. They interrupt the narrative. They bring you back to truth. They remind you of who you are when your mind tries to rewrite the story. So if this is hitting for you… The one that reminds you of your power. And if you’re a healthcare girly who’s been carrying a lot and is ready to be in a room with other women who get it… Reply RETREAT and I’ll send you the details for the next one. And if you’re not in healthcare—stay close! I’m working on something for you too. 😉 Can’t wait to read all those receipts because I know y’all are that girl! Chat soon, Nikia🫶🏾 |
