Hey sis, Last week, we talked about creating space to explore what you might want. But what happens when what you discover starts changing how you see yourself? Sometimes growth doesn't just change what you do. It expands who you allow yourself to become. 🎙️ A Note from Nikia on Expansion (click here to listen) For years, "doctor" was the easiest way for me to explain who I was. I'd worked hard for that identity. I'd earned it. But as I started exploring other parts of myself, I had to learn that being a physician didn't have to be the boundary of who I was allowed to become. Today’s Takeaway Expansion isn't always about becoming someone new. Sometimes it's making room for more of who you already are—and who you're still becoming. The discomfort doesn't always mean you're going the wrong way. Sometimes you're simply becoming someone you haven't practiced being yet. This Week’s Reflection Where are you feeling pulled toward something more—but struggling to give yourself permission to explore it? For me it was taking the leap to enroll in Pilates Teacher Training. This Week's Experiment Finish this sentence: I'm giving myself permission to... Don't overthink it. Don't explain it away. Just notice what comes up and give yourself permission to explore it. Chat soon, Nikia |
